MANY refugees and displaced families need more than a quick fix
A meal can fill a stomach for a day…
A rent payment can keep a family housed for a month…
A car can help a father get to work…
All of those things matter.
But for many displaced families, the need is not only physical. The need is deeper - it is relational. Emotional. Spiritual.
They need people who will know their names, understand their story, and keep showing up during their season of urgent need… and long after too.
This is the work of Hope Tribe.
A continuum of care and connection
Every family’s journey is different, but Hope Tribe’s care often moves through five stages.
-
A family is introduced through a trusted relationship, church, partner, friend, or local connection. We listen, pray, and discern before we act.
-
When a family is in immediate need, Hope Tribe helps mobilize practical support quickly and responsibly. This may include rent, food, transportation, household needs, or emergency assistance.
-
As trust grows, Hope Tribe moves beyond the immediate need and begins to understand the deeper story. What is this family carrying? What support do they already have? What relationships are missing? What would long-term restoration actually require?
-
Some families need care for weeks. Others need months or years. Hope Tribe stays present through the slow work of rebuilding: advocacy, encouragement, spiritual care, friendship, local connection, and practical support.
-
The goal is not dependency. The goal is dignity. We celebrate how the forces of presence and love empower families to rebuild their lives. Many become contributors to their communities and even a source of encouragement and support for other refugee families.
Whole-person care for the whole family
Displacement affects every part of a life. That is why Hope Tribe’s care is physical, social, and spiritual.
Physical
We help meet practical needs like rent, food, furniture, transportation, and urgent family support.
SOCIAL
We help families become known and surrounded by connecting them to others, sitting in their homes and eating together.
Spiritual
We offer prayer, presence, encouragement, and care rooted in the way and teachings of Jesus.
Our model for Supporters: an invitation to a deeper faith
Hope Tribe invites supporters to begin where they are and take one faithful step at a time.
For some, that first step is reading a story.
For others, it is giving to an urgent need.
For others, it is praying, donating items, or helping a family get through a difficult month.
Every step matters.
For refugees and displaced families, we offer care deeper than transactional support.
For supporters who are followers of Jesus, we are an invitation out of a transactional faith.
For many of us, faith deepens not by staying comfortable, but by moving toward the people Jesus spent his life moving toward: the poor, the marginalized, the foreigner, the widow, the orphan, the overlooked, and the displaced.
