The refugee resettlement process is a long and complicated barrier that stands between families getting the documents they need to truly begin rebuilding their lives. Faras and his family have attempted the asylum process three times, but for reasons unclear, have been rejected each time.

The family is working to appeal the case, but in the meantime, without the right legal documents they are being forced out of the home they had been staying in. We are connected with a team in Greece who are working with this family as they get back on their feet.

Faras and his family are leaders in their community who have found jobs where they able to serve other refugees. Even with their work, the family is struggling to make ends meet — and that’s where Hope Tribe comes in.

We are raising $500/month for 6 months to assist the family while they get back on their feet and appeal their asylum case. The goal is that once their case is settled, they will be able to find better and more sustainable housing and jobs. Our partners in Greece have made clear that the family knows “that we stand with them, and they will not find themselves homeless or exposed.”
